"Earth's crammed with heaven. And every common bush afire with God. But only he who sees takes his shoes off."
i grew up and have spent most of my life in New York. i lived in Nashville for a few years where i began to release music. i found the dissonance of my faith, music, and life beginning to grow while i was there. my beliefs no longer resonated with the language i was so used to hearing and using. needing beauty and stillness, i moved to Alaska and was in awe at the closeness i felt to God in the midst of silence. i am grateful for my time there and the growth that i have experienced. i have found a new innocence in my writing and faith and it has inspired the music that i am releasing now. NEW MUSIc RELEASING -
FINAL - EP RELEASE - APRIL 3, 2026
The last few years have been a journey. My faith has changed. In some ways it’s become simpler, yet harder to hold. That journey has found its way into these songs.
I have had a deep hunger for authenticity and simplicity in my faith - tired in some way of the ‘purpose driven life’ - worlds where everything seems to continuously get bigger and better. The people who have inspired me most in recent years are those who have committed themselves to presence - to simply being - and to generously offering that presence to whoever is in front of them.
I’ve grown tired of wanting, of owning, of controlling. And somewhere along the way, I began to find joy in what was already here -
in the relationships I have,
in the gifts I’ve been given,
in the world right in front of me.
Wonder is slowly returning.
Peace has started to lead me.
I feel a kind of holiness in the present - seeing God in it, in me, in my neighbor, even in my enemy. Christ is in all. Christ is all. He is here. He is with us.
These songs were written in the middle of this transition. They’re simple - more like mantras than statements. But they’ve changed me.
A big thank you to Will Reagan for helping bring them to life. I started recording them in Alaska, and he worked some magic on them as always. And thank you to Mason Bjorlie whose cabin I stayed at in Alaska while making this. Our time together and conversations were such a source of inspiration for me. Grateful for the friendship and music
